To enrol for a class in 2010....

If you want to enrol for a class in 2010 here is what to do:
- If there is a tutor name and phone number listed with the class then ring and book directly with the tutor
- If there is no name, you can ring us on 8371938 or email us on sturgeswestcomhouse@xtra.co.nz  stating your name, phone number and the course you are interested and we will get back to you re enrolment.  All courses booked through us need to be paid at the time of enrolment - you can't just turn up on the night and enrol.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR

The staff and Management Committee of Sturges West Community House would like to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy holiday.

Our office will be closed from Wednesday 23 December and will be re-opening for 2010 on Monday 24 January.

Come along to our Open Day on Saturday 20 March from 12 noon and see what we have on offer for 2010

FREE Open Polytechnic Courses

Learn at home with the support of a coach.  Make a new start.  Develop communication and 
employment skills, build self-esteem, realise goals.

Volunteers Needed

From time to time we need to call on the help of volunteers - this is a great way to contribute to the ongoing work of the Sturges West Community House and to meet new people in your community.  If you feel this is something you would be interested in doing please call Brenda on 8371938 to discuss further.

 
Want to help someone in the community? How about volunteering your time to the IHC Volunteer Program

The IHC Volunteer programme is about making a friend with someone in your community who has an intellectual disability. It is a fun, flexible and dynamic way of getting involved in your community, making new friends and gaining new experiences. Volunteers and their friends do all sorts of things like going for walks, movies, shows, cooking and gardening - sharing time and having fun!  To learn more about the IHC Volunteer programme contact Sam Morrison on 826 0565, 021 244 2473 or sam.morrison@ihc.org.nz  or check out the website   http://www.ihc.org.nz/

Sturges West Community HouseSturges West Community House is your place to participate. 

Our purpose built facility has been provided by Waitakere City Council for the local community to meet and participate in a wide range of activities for adults and children. We are a friendly place, run by locals for locals and we would love you to pop in and see for yourself.
